POVERTEES WHOLESALE FUNDRAISING INITIATIVE
For the last 3 years, we have been building our organization into a made-in-USA, wholesale clothing social enterprise. We make all of our clothing in Los Angeles to employ as many people transitioning out of homelessness as we can. Any time a company or a community needs clothing, they can produce it through Povertees to support both social outreach and local manufacturing.
Manufacturing and job creation are two of the hot topics in our social and political discourse for good reason. The question is this: How can we support social outreach and local manufacturing while producing clothing that is affordable?
We are accomplishing this through the largest fundraising push in our organization’s history. This fundraising will allow us to eventually be the most affordable USA wholesaler in the nation.
We do not plan to be a small company lightly chipping away at the issue of homelessness for much longer. We are working to create systemic change in the way clothing is manufactured and in the ways businesses are involved in their communities. We have been looking at the common methods of clothing production, and we see an opportunity to create systemic change.
This push to support local manufacturing and for businesses to contribute to their communities has been building for some time. We are here to help lead this charge to strengthen our communities from within. Please join us.
